Versions and Platforms

- NES and All-Stars versions are both permitted.  NES version is faster just for reference.

- Console, emulator and Virtual Console are all permitted.

Rules

- You must join the discord server to participate.  If you are not joined to the discord server when registration closes, you will be dropped from the tournament.

- The time frame for each round will typically be 7 days.  Deadlines will be strict and minimal exceptions will be granted to prevent delays for everyone else.

- You are responsible to communicate with your opponent to schedule a time for your race.  Once a time is agreed, please communicate it in the scheduling channel in the discord so an admin can add it to the calendar.

- If you are not reasonably sure that you can compete for your duration of the tournament, please refrain from joining.  Anything can happen in life, but if you're expecting something that would keep you away for an extended period of time rendering you unable to complete your match, please refrain from joining.

- All matches must be on on SpeedRunsLive (SRL) or SpeedRacing TV.  If you have not used either of these platforms before, please read the documentation on their website and familiarize yourself with how racing on there works.  It's not fair for everyone else when someone delays the race for 30 minutes trying to figure everything out spur of the moment.

- All matches must be streamed.  Even if all you have is a webcam pointed at a TV, that will work.

- This category is Warpless.  You may not take any warp zones to another world.

- You may use continues to restart a world if you game over.  This is achieved by pressing Start + A on the title screen. If you accidentally start back on 1-1 after a game over in a different world, you are permitted to warp back to the world you got a game over on.

Seeding

- Seeding will be based on your Warpless PB on speedrun.com

- If you do not have a Warpless PB but do have an Any% PB, you will be seeded below those with a Warpless PB.

- If you do not have either you will be seeded at the bottom.

Restream

- Your match may be restreamed on the SpeedGaming channels side by side with your opponent.  It is appreciated if you mute your mic any any music/sounds besides the game music as your game audio may be playing through the restream.
